If you’re looking around at all the different brands and find it confusing what to buy, I can understand your frustrations. There are so many choices nowadays — traditional e-cigarettes, vaporizers with refillable e-liquid, disposable e-cigarettes, e-cigars — that once you finally decide on a brand you then have to wade through all the options they have.

This is one reason why I took a look at Cigavette. They know what works and keep it simple. You won’t find a huge assortment here, but what they make is good stuff. There’s only Tobacco and Menthol to choose from, both available in regular or mild, so this is really for the traditionalists. They feature four different kits, and a few “starter packs” for sale depending on your budget and wants.

Let’s take a look at this brand and find out why “less is more”.

Cigavette Review

Cigavette logoFirst let’s get into the kit offerings here. As mentioned above, there’s four to choose from that range from basic to more comprehensive, starting at $59.95 all the way up to $129.95.

They also sell starter sets for $29.95 that give you the bare minimum so you can get a taste of what they’re selling without getting in too deep at first. At this price, you get one battery, a USB charger, and 2 cartridges. This is the standard two-piece electronic cigarette that you’re probably most familiar with, with the battery and cartridge screwing together for full assembly. You can get it in 6 different varieties: Tobacco flavor is available in 5 nicotine strengths, as well as one Menthol option.

The entry-level starter kit, which they call “starter sets” is the Premiere Set for $59.95. With this kit you get the following:

  • 2 batteries (two sizes, available in black, white or stainless steel)
  • 6 cartridges (tobacco or menthol)
  • USB charger
  • Wall charger
  • Carrying case

While not a bad haul for the price, there are better deals out there, such as the Ranch Hand Kit at Bull Smoke for only $29.95 which gets you 10 cartridges, though I suppose the premium here is because of the carrying case. It’s nice to have, but not essential.

As for performance, it was very easy to use and gave an enjoyable vaping experience. The batteries and cartridges screwed together nicely, no air leaks when using it, and seem to be made of pretty durable craftsmanship. It gave a great hit of vapor and I really liked the simple tobacco flavor they offer. No frills here, but if you’re looking to simply replace your pack of smokes for some tobacco flavored vaping, this is not a bad place to turn. I also tried the menthol which was quite tasty, but the tobacco is where they really shine.

If you want to take a step up, the next kit is the Premier Super Set which is similar to the previous kit, but it comes with 11 cartridges instead of 6 and also includes an auto adapter to charge your batteries in your car, boat, or whatever. It has two batteries, USB and wall charger, and carrying case like the Premier Set. At $79.95, that extra $20 goes a long way with all the extra cartridges and the auto adapter.

If you’re looking for something else, they also have their Ultimate Series sets with the VIP Go Ultra Set and the VIP Go Mega Set, selling for $99.95 and $129.95, respectively. These are different than the traditional two-piece system in the previously described kit, and instead utilizes an eGo style battery that is operated with the press of a button on the side, and has a lot more power and provides a much smoother pull of vapor.

With the Ultra Set you get 2 Ultra batteries, available in black or stainless steel, 10 cartridges, wall charger, USB charger and a carrying case, as pictured below.

I was pretty impressed with the different batteries in this one, it gives a really nice vapor flow as it doesn’t have the fluctuations that would come with your inhalation. The button-pressing, automated style of it creates a consistent flow of vapor. The batteries last much longer between recharges as well, I feel like I’ve been puffing on my current one for what seems like days now and it’s still going strong.

If you like what comes in this kit, but want a little more for your buck, you can get basically the same components, but more of them, by upgrading to the Mega.

As pictured in the banner above, they aren’t just limited to these kits as they also sell disposable e-hookahs. This is where they branch out from the simplicity of just tobacco and menthol and offer an assortment of flavor varieties listed in the image above. They are single-use disposable e-cigarettes that are nice for having when you’re “on the go” and don’t have to worry about recharging. You simply throw them away when they run out and just vape on a new one. They were pretty handy and had good taste, though when it comes to disposables I’m the biggest fan of White Cloud’s “Fling” disposables. Tons of flavor varieties and strong battery power on them. What’s the word on Cigavette?

Thanks for reading my Cigavette review. If you’re a traditionalist and like to keep it simple, just want to replicate your old pack of smokes, you should take a look at their kits with their tobacco and menthol cartridges. Nothing amazing, but gets the job done. It’s a good brand to try out if you’re new to e-cigarettes, but having tried out and reviewed so many brands, it takes a lot to wow me and Cigavette didn’t really get my blood flowing. For the best all-around electronic cigarette brand, I can’t recommend my top choice V2 Cigs enough. Best product, tons of cartridge flavors, strong batteries, great pricing and customer service.
